“Working with Mike has been one of the most important choices I have made as a musician; he has shown me how to unlock my own innate abilities to take control over my creative process.

I experienced immediate results working with Mike. After our first session, I was already breaking through obstacles to my creativity and workflow. However, the new techniques that I’ve learned can also be applied to other aspects of life, and they are tools I can use for a lifetime.

In addition, Mike’s professionalism made him a pleasure to work with. I would highly recommend his service to any artist seeking to unlock their potential.”
- Preston Hart, Portland, Oregon, USA

Goodbye Vinyl

I’m finally selling the last of my DJ vinyl collection. About a year ago I got rid of a load more, but these (roughly) 600 records are those that I couldn’t quite bring myself to sell back then.

It’s a bittersweet moment, as there are so many wonderful records in that collection which have formed the soundtrack to my life so far.

But they’ve sat in my studio for the last few years and were a constant reminder of the past which I treasure, but don’t need to be reminded of every day.

I did think about putting them in storage but there’d be no point, as I’d do exactly what I’m doing now further down the line. So in the name of de-cluttering my life, brain and workspace, I reluctantly decided to sell them.

It felt very cathartic going through them and remembering all the good times. But I’ve now kept the ones I need for sentimental reasons (I have a box of about 150), and recorded and stored the music I still want in its new digital home. All that’s left now is a couple of piles of excellent records.

I’ve even thrown in some old tunes of mine which won’t ever be available digitally, usually because the record label in question has gone out of business.

They’re up on Ebay, and if I needed any more proof that the value of music as a physical product is now virtually nil, when I last checked over 600 records are at the insanely reasonable price of £9.38.

So if you’re near London and can pick up, you’ve got until this Sunday 12th December 2010 (when the Ebay auction ends) to get your hands on them. There are some absolute corkers in there.
